多臓器機能障害は、2臓器以上(神経系、心血管系、腎、呼吸器、血液、肝)の機能障害を特徴とする生命に関わる症候群です。1 全身性の炎症や血行動態の破綻に起因する臓器間クロストークが、重症度を増大させることがあります。2-4
